Field archery

An international Field Round was contested last weekend by members of Avon Valley Field Archers, in preparation for the NSW State Tiles to be held later this month on the Central Coast.

It had been some time since we had shot this round and it was good to put the “Wallaby Range” back into use for the rather difficult Hunter Round. Next week we will use the “Koala Range” for a marked distance Field round.

Last weeks results were; Men’s Sights; Peter Franklin 495, Jeff Jennings 462, Tewdwr Hoffman 342, Nigel Hucksted 158.

Men’s Barebow John Martin 341. Ladies Sights; Barbara Vigenser 363, Fran Martin 171. Junior Boys; Drew Tuckett 372, Brendan Pierce 212, Jayden Hucksted 246.

Good to see Norm Bartlett and family back for the second time receiving coaching and will soon be on the scoring list.

We now have our own Wed Site with all the information on the club, location , results, pictures etc. so look us up at www. avonvalleyfieldarchers.com . We will also be at the Shakespeare Festival, so come and talk to us at the archery stand and have a go with a bow.

For more information on Field Archery contact Jeff Jennings 65581935 or visit our web site.
