On Friday July 18, Laura Harris, Rhiannon Jaeger-Michael and mums headed to Taree for the MRA and H Society, Dressage, Show jumping and hacking mid-year championships.
On Saturday the girls competed in four dressage tests, against a large field of riders, from all over NSW. Rhiannon placed second in one test, beating 18 other riders which is a huge achievement as Billie, her horse, has had limited outings.
Laura placed first, second, third and fifth in her dressage tests which won her junior preliminary champion and highest percentage junior champion for the day. Laura also had two fantastic clear rounds in the show jumping.
On Sunday, the girls competed in the hack show against a lot of experienced younger and older riders in the Galloway ring where the girls had huge success with both placing in everything they entered in, Laura placing third in her riding class.
Laura’s horse, Mr Peanuts, also winning champion heavyweight Galloway and Rhiannon’s horse Billie winning reserve champion lightweight Galloway.
What a fantastic weekend, congratulations girls.
