Mens tennis semi-finals

27/08/2008 5:00:00 AM
The premier A grade match turned out to be a cliff hanger. Unfortunately Troy Higgins was unable to play, but Hayden Tull floated in his place. Result was a one game victory to minor premiers, Williams.

Hollingsworth also had a floater in the very able Ian Billingham who has floated before for opposition team Kingstons. Hollingsworth proved far too strong on the night and won by a margin of 35 to 19

The match between Suttons and Coxes resulted in a 33-17 whitewash for minor premiers Suttons. Suttons were really firing. All team members, Luke, Dino and Peter showed they bring out their best when the semis come around. However don’t write off the Coxes, they have the natty ability to come back.

Barlows without captain Brian who is recuperating from tennis elbow and a surgical procedure, proved far too strong for the young Hedditch boys. This match resulted in a 45-22 victory for Barlows.

Next week fellows is grand final night. Come along with $5 and enjoy a drink, a barbecue and a game of tennis. All men are most welcome.
