Extremely cold conditions for this round of netball.
Sub juniors: Red d Yellow, on a forfeit; Blue d Green, on a forfeit.
Due to a shortage of players both games were forfeited. It was great to see some of the mums and dads go on court and have a game with the kids (I’m not sure who enjoyed it the most!).

Black d Light Blue 13-10. A good close game with Black just managing to stay ahead. Bronte Davis, Kayla Landers, Lauren Cameron and Danielle McDonald were the goal scorers. Abbie Lawrence had a strong game on the wing, and in defence Sophie Kingston put in a great effort. For the Light Blue side, their goals were scored by Maddie Andrews and Jaimi White. Abbie Waddell and Olivia Westcott both played well on the the wings. Laura Bignell and Natasha Oldfield good effort in defence.
Points: 3 Sophie Kingston, 2 Abbie Lawrence, 1 Abbie Waddell.
Garnet d Cherry 11-10. A relatively low scoring game. Both sides missing a lot of attempts at goal. Those that did manage to find the target were Ellen Forbes, Alex Steadman and Hannah West for Garnet. Jemma McDougall tried hard at centre and Jorjia Earle Broadley good game on the wing. For the Cherry side, Holly Bowden, Molly Hutchen and Jemma Clarke were the goal scorers. Jess Hawkins and Meegan Johnson worked well together in defence.
Points: 3 Ellen Forbes, 2 Jemma Clarke, 1 Alex Steadman.
Intermediates:
Green d Pink 29-23. A good game between two good sides, Pink needing floaters to make up their numbers. Goal scorers for Green were Misha Taylor and Brodie Preston. Emily Johnson and Brieanna Bratfield both had top games in defence. Kloe Hutchen worked the ball well through the centre court and on the wing, Ashlea Cameron tried hard. For the Pink team, Rhiannon Jaeger-Michael, Jemma Wilkinson and Danielle McDonald (f), were the goal scorers. Sarah Everett and Taneal Preston combined well in defence.
Points: 3 Emily Johnson, 2 Taneal Preston, 1 Misha Taylor.
